I am going to make this brief, so we can get you to the photos. Simply put, Rachel and Jake are two extremely amazing human beings. They spent months planning their wedding. Along with the help of Rachel’s family and some friends, they put together the most amazing DIY event that we’ve seen yet. They styled their reception themselves, which, yes, is common, but they took things further with their beautiful farm styled occasion. They built a big structure to shelter their guests, pulled out tons of antiques, and really brought it all together. They even grew all of their own flowers for all floral arrangements and decorations. That includes Rachel and her bridesmaids bouquets and the men’s boutonnieres, all of which, were put together that morning. How freaking cool is that?
The ceremony was held at St. Anne’s in Carthage, MO, about 40 minutes from the reception site, which was closer to Seneca, MO. The girls also got ready just a couple blocks aways from St. Anne’s at the historic Phelp’s House, which is A-MAZING. Antiques, wheelbarrows, burlap, quilts, tractors, wildflowers, wagons, dumptrucks, tents, and an epic firework display at the end of the night made for one of the coolest receptions we’ve ever been a part of. It was fantastic. We cannot thank Rachel and Jake enough for allowing us to be part of their day. We are so, so grateful for the opportunity. Also, just because they were so awesome, too, we have to give a shoutout to Rachel’s parents. Both occasions that we got to spend some time with them, they were better than great to us. Just had to mention that bit!
Ok, I think that’s it. I tried to keep it short and I think I did a pretty good job of that. We hope you enjoy the photos as much as we do. There are a lot. Hehe… Also, be sure to tell Jake and Rachel congrats in the comments section at the bottom!
Good day and talk soon!
