A wedding for the ages. I think that accurately describes how Whitney and I feel about our time spent last weekend in Vernon, NJ, with Brendan and Casey. You’re probably thinking, “Last weekend! And you’ve already managed to blog it?” I know, I know. Really, when it comes down to it, we like to hold off for a few weeks on blog posts because it builds an element of anticipation for our couples. However, here’s the thing: 1. We are incredibly excited to share this one with you guys. 2. In a matter of days we are preparing to embark on a three week long road trip that will see us shooting weddings in Kansas, Colorado, and Minnesota. With the amount that we will have going on between the shooting, traveling, and editing, it’s going to be difficult to do a lot of blogging for that period. So here we are!

Alright, enough of the prefacing and explanations. Last weekend was absolutely magical. We arrived in Vernon at a beautiful home tucked away in the woods. Really, it was a total dream location for any photographer, wedding shooter or not. There’s literally no way that my words will do the location justice, so on that end, we will let the photos do the talking for us.

Casey and Brendan are incredible souls. Brilliant minds, full of heart, driven, accomplished, and madly in love with one another. To see the way they look at each other is to know that love is real. It was visceral, impossible to miss. They’re also the kind of couple that needs virtually no direction when it comes to photos because their love and proclivities toward one another shine through naturally on their own. To say they made our “job” easy for us is an understatement. And the guests? Holy wow! Talk about an awesome bunch who came to party. When it came to dance, the place exploded, and that’s an understatement.

Their gorgeous ceremony was officiated by Casey’s uncle and he was simply wonderful. Whether sharing his humorous anecdotes of the couple or singing a heartfelt Ukrainian tune, he did a spectacular job. Really, every person involved with this wedding did some really great things. From Nicole, the rockstar planner, to the catering, DJ, ceremony performers, Casey’s aunt, and more, this is one of those weddings where a number of people came together and made things shine brighter than any wedding conventions or cliches. Did I already use the word magical?

We hope you guys enjoy the photos as much as we do. We will “warn” that since there are a lot, the use of wifi when viewing is definitely encouraged to defeat lagging and out of order images – After all, this is a story in photos. Even more so, we encourage you to view these from a bigger screen and not a device that fits in the palm of your hand. This wedding should be felt and experienced in the best possible way. And for anyone who has interest in the amazing team of vendors involved, please take a look at the end of the post to check them all out!

Last, Casey and Brendan, thank you for your generous hearts and welcoming us into your lives for one very awesome day that we will never forget. Congrats you two!

OMG… These photos tell the whole wonderful wedding experience and the absolute fun fun fun we all had. All the little touches from the start to the last finish was magical. There were so many special minutes but I have to say that the few little drops of rain that was never a doubt in many of our minds proved true when the sun showed through as C & B faced the guests. It was just divine. Congrats and what beautiful photos. Thank you for allowing me to be part of this special adventure. Love u C & B. Carm
